Steve and Karen Hurd of Garland are happy to announce the marriage of their son, Koy Pruitt, to Courtney Poulsen, daughter of Dale and Laura Poulsen of Bountiful. The couple will be married in the Salt Lake LDS Temple on Oct. 5, 2012. A reception will be held that evening in the Utah House at the Utah Botanical Center in Kaysville, from 6-9 p.m.
The bride is a 2011 graduate of Dixie State University, graduating in family communication. She is employed by Todman Corporation at City Creek.
The groom will be graduating from the University of Utah in December of 2012, with a degree in exercise science. Koy is employed by the Utah Jazz.
After a honeymoon cruise to Mexico, the couple will reside in Salt Lake City.

Tim and Stacie Nichols of Elwood are pleased to announce the marriage of their son, Craig Timothy Nichols, to Stephanie Lyn Maughan, daughter of Steve and Jamie Maughan of Twin Falls, Idaho. The couple will be married, Friday, Oct. 5, in the Logan LDS Temple. A reception will be held that evening from 6-8 p.m., at the Elwood Church, 4865 W. 9600 N. They will also be honored at a reception on Oct. 12, in Twin Falls.
The bride is a graduate of Twin Falls High School and currently attends Dixie State College.
The groom is a graduate of Bear River High School. He served in the Oregon Eugene Spanish-speaking mission. He also attends Dixie State College.
Craig and Stephanie will make their home in St. George.

David and Judy Schiers of Parowan announce the marriage of their daughter, Melanie Denise, to Johnathan Douglas Wells, son of Douglas and Tamara Wells of Eagle Mountain. The couple will be married on Oct. 11, 2012, in the Mt. Timpanogos LDS Temple.
A reception will be held that evening in the Kiowa Valley LDS Church building, 7241 N. Ute Drive, Eagle Mountain, from 6 – 8 p.m. They will also be honored at an open house on Saturday, Oct. 13, 2012, from 4 – 6 p.m., at the Parowan 1st/2nd Ward building, 87 W. Center, Parowan.
The bride is a 2004 graduate of Parowan High School. She is working at Rockwell Charter School.
The groom is a 2004 graduate of Bear River High School. He is working at Blue Host.
After a honeymoon trip to Salt Lake and Brianhead, the couple will make their home in Eagle Mountain.
