There are two very excited little girls at the Zane Wheatley residence. Their mother cat brought her new kittens outside their nest for the first time. The kittens are all wide-eyed and too young to be afraid of Everly and Georgia. The girls have fallen in love with the babies. Everly has chosen two of the four for her own, and Georgia just likes them all. Laura is trying to help the youngsters learn to “hold the kittens gently,” and “keep all their little feet gathered up comfortably.”

Jim and Starr Mitchell report “Gabby,” their granddaughter, is a good and hungry baby. Grandpa Jim really likes holding her. The Mitchell garden is all cleaned out and ready for working early in the spring. The pair bought some pumpkins and processed them for pie, then roasted pumpkin seeds for snacks this winter. Starr and Jim also canned salsa and chili sauce.

Boyd Udy has been riding the upper pastures in the Monte Cristo area and bringing the cows and calves down to the lower areas until weaning time.

Boyd and Kris are happy to announce the marriage of their son, Tyrell Udy, to Aaron Purdy two weeks ago in Billings, Mont. The young couple is acquainted with Dr. Matthew Larsen from Promontory, who is in their ward.

On Tuesday Winnie Richman accompanied granddaughter Marriah to her piano lesson. She and Mrs. Smith picked out her Christmas recital piece, which is more complicated, but still Christmas-y.

Carolyn Carter and Winnie went to art on Wednesday. Carolyn signed a very lovely picture of her daughter and son-in-law on their wedding day. Winnie will be finished in one more week.

On Thursday Winnie took a wrapped present for great-grandson Jayden’s birthday, since she will be busy on the day of his second birthday party. He loves to tear off paper.

On Saturday Winnie joined many family members for a tour of the Brigham City LDS Temple. “It was wonderful,” Winnie states.
