Bears capture region golf championship

Bear River boys’ golf won the region tournament in Brigham City at Eagle Mountain golf course. Junior Bridger Layton took medalist honors with a 72. The Bears tallied a score of 311 versus Morgans 315.
Triston Hartfiel shot a 77 and Augmon Jolley added a 78 for the Bears.
Layton also won the league’s overall medalist title.
