The Lady Bears had an extremely tough week as they played their region rivals and main competition for the region title; Granstville. The Bears fought hard and long, but eventually lost to the Cowboys 4-1.
Second Doubles Jessica Hunsaker and Cherokie Limb were the only ones to earn a win, 6-4, 6-3.
“(Hunsaker and Limb) just came out from the start fighting for every point and not letting Granstville get any sort of lead what so ever,” said coach Nancy Brough.
The Bears then played Ben Lomond and won 3-2. “Ben Lomond has normally been a pretty easy team to beat, but they definitely had some fighters this year that got some of the girls off guard,” said Brough.
Courtney Comstock won 6-1, 6-0 at first singles. Kenya Rhodes won 6-3, 4-6, 6-3 at second singles and Darcy Pali won 6-3, 6-4 at third singles.
The Bears will play at Juan Diego on Tuesday and then at Morgan on Thursday.
