September is Food for Fines month at the Tremonton City Library. Those with library fines can bring in non-perishable canned goods (not expired or dented) and get a $1 reduction for each item donated. All donations benefit the local food pantry.
The Bear River Valley Reflections Choir will be holding auditions for this upcoming holiday season. Anyone interested in joining this community choir should contact directors Denese Tree, 435-279-4246, or Michelle Martineau, 435-279-5918, to schedule an appointment.
Museum Yard Sale
The Bear River Valley Museum will host a yard sale on Saturday, Sept. 15, at Holmgren Historic Farm, 460 N. 300 E., Tremonton. Those wishing to donate items to be sold are asked to bring them to the farm prior to the day of the sale.
League Yard Sale
The Tremonton Women’s Civic League is sponsoring a yard sale on Saturday, Sept. 15, at Library Park. The event is scheduled from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
The Nashville Tribute Band will hold a concert fundraiser for the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation on Wednesday, Nov. 7, at 7 p.m. at the Bear River High School auditorium. Tickets are $10 in advance, starting at noon Sept.17, at www.showtix4u.com or $15 at the door the night of the show, if still available.

Peaches, grapes, pears, onions, winter squash, tomato, zucchini and more fruits and vegetables are at their peak right now. A Fall Fruit and Vegetable Salads class will be offered in Tremonton on Wednesday, Sept. 19, from 6:30-7:30 p.m., at the Bear River Valley Senior Center, 510 W. 1000 N., to learn who to turn them into delicious salads. On Thursday Sept. 20, the class will be held in Brigham City from 6:30-7:30 p.m., at Bridgerland Applied Technology College, 325 W. 1100 S.
