The Golden Spike Rodeo Arena was awash with activity on Friday and Saturday as the annual Utah Reined Cowhorse Futurity Derby and Horse Show moved into town.
Cowboys from all over Utah and some from Idaho made the trek to Tremonton for the competition, one of several events held at the venue (other than the county fair) during the year.
Nearly 75 cowboys and cowgirls, young and old, took part in events like herding, reining and fencing.
The Utah Reined Cowhorse Association holds five events from April to August, with the futurity being the one where points are sanctioned by the National Reined Cowhorse Association.
