Double the pleasure at Stansbury

The Lady Bear tennis team started the week out going to the first day of school, along with their first region match of the season against the Tooele Buffaloes.

Sadly the match was cancelled due to scheduling issues.  Thursday the Bears traveled to Stansbury to play the Stallions.  The Bears won 4-1.  At first singles Courtney Comstock won 6-4, 3-6, 6-2. At second singles, Kenya Rhodes won 4-6, 6-3, 6-2, and at third singles Darcy Pali lost 2-6, 3-6.  On the doubles side, Kaitlyn George and Rhylie Westarp won 6-1, 6-6 with a tiebreak of 7-5 at first doubles and Cherokie Limb and Jessica Hunsaker at second doubles won 6-2, 6-3.

The Bears rescheduled their match against Tooele for Sept. 4.  Then on Sept. 6 the Bears will play Ogden then they will head down south for the Duel in the Desert Tournament in St. George.
