The Bear River girls soccer team earned another split week of Region 11 action as they suffered a 4-0 loss to Ben Lomond last Tuesday and turned around to defeat Morgan at home 3-0.
The Bears now boast a 2-2 region record and a 3-5 overall record that includes the four preseason games.
Bear River traveled to Grantsville yesterday and will have a bye Thursday, providing time to regroup and get ready for Tooele next Tuesday and the second half of region play.
Against Ben Lomond the Bears just could not find a way to get past the back line defense of the Scots, as they were shutout for the second-straight game.
“We are really disappointed obviously after the Ben Lomond loss,” said coach Gene Wilcox. “Ben Lomond is a good team and they have been playing really well. To knock them off would have been a little bit of an upset but we thought we would be in there a little more.”
