BR Rodeo changed

Due to construction problems at the Bear River rodeo arena, the Bear River Rodeo has been moved to Sept. 7-8, beginning at 5:30 p.m.

Civic League Picnic

“A Picnic in the Park,” the opening social for the Tremonton Women’s Civic League, will be held Sept. 6, at 4 p.m., at the Library Park.  It will also be a membership drive.  Ladies throughout the Bear River Valley who are interested in joining are invited to attend.  To R.S.V.P. call Sheryl Bair at 257-7830, or Andrea Petersen at 257-8634.  In case of inclement weather, the social will be held at the Senior Center.

Library Happenings

Tremonton City Library will host author Lisa Mangum on Sept. 7.  She will be promoting and signing her new book, “After Hello.”

The library’s Downloadable Day with be Sept. 9, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.  Library staff will be available to help with downloading books from Overdrive and Once Click Digital to personal devices.  Those interested should contact the library to sign up.

Also, September is Food for Fines month at the library.  Those with library fines can bring in non-perishable canned goods (not expired or dented) and get a $1 reduction for each item donated.  All donations benefit the local food pantry.

Reflections Auditions

The Bear River Valley Reflections Choir will be holding auditions for this upcoming holiday season. Anyone interested in joining this community choir should contact directors Denese Tree, 435-279-4246, or Michelle Martineau, 435-279-5918, to schedule an appointment.
