Saddle Strings Concert

The Box Elder County bandstand will kick off the week of the fair with a country performance by the “Saddle Strings” starting on Monday, Aug. 20, at 7 p.m. This event is sponsored by Mike Norr Plumbing and Chris Oyler Construction. The Saddle Strings officially became a band in 1994 and released their first album in 2001, “Hangin’ from the Conchos.” During this time the four band members included Brian Arnold, Roy Glover, who retired in 2006, and “Snoose” and Cindy Argyle. They released their second album released in 2003, “Tied Behind the Cantle” and added the vocal talents of Laurie Morgan and the drum percussion of Bud Brown, who retired in 2010. The third album, “Somewhere in the Middle of Wyoming,” released in 2007, which incorporated the fiddle and yodeling talents of Jodi Thackaray. Their most recent album “Ride to Get There” was released May 2011.
