Care Center named ‘Best of State’

Bear River Valley Care Center in Tremonton was recently honored at the Best of State Awards Gala as a top skilled nursing facility in Utah. The care center is one of four facilities of Mission Health Services in the state. The other three are in Salt Lake City, Utah County and West Jordan.
Administrator Brandon Sturdevant said the award winner is determined through a nomination process that requires extensive documentation and a review by a team of judges, who then present the award based on a point system.
The judges evaluate the submitted material and base their decision on three specific areas of performance: Excellence, Innovation/Creativity and Contribution to Quality of Life in Utah. The criteria covers factors not typically related to financial performance, but relate to overall achievement and excellence in service.
The Bear River Valley Care Center provides care for up to 38 residents and also provides short term therapy and rehabilitation services.
Sturdevant said the staff of Bear River Rehab was also awarded the Pinnacle Customer Experience Award, which recognizes care providers who have achieved ‘Best in Class’ status for customer satisfaction standards. The qualified in 10 different areas, including Pace of Progress, Dignity and Respect, Atmosphere, Skills of Therapists and Results Achieved.
