On Thursday morning, June 28, at about 8:40 a male driver hauling a 25-ft travel trailer lost control and rolled his vehicle and trailer near mm 3 on SR-91at the mouth of Sardine Canyon. According to Brigham City Lieutenant Dennis Vincent, Kelly Leishman, 53, said he and his wife, Cindy, 54, of Nibley, were traveling down the canyon, headed westbound. The roadway is currently under construction and the shoulders on the road are both raised. Leishman stated that when the trailer tires hit the uneven pavement the trailer began to fishtail and he lost control. They crossed all lanes of travel and rolled over onto the shoulder of the road facing eastbound. The vehicle came to a rest on its wheel while the trailer stopped on its side behind the truck. No one else was involved in the accident and they received minor injuries and lacerations. Brigham City police responded and a Brigham City ambulance transported the couple to Brigham City Hospital.
