Child struck by car in Brigham City
At about 2:20 p.m., today a four to six year old female was hit by a grey chevrolet Impala car while riding her bike in Brigham City. According to Brigham City Lieutenant Dennis Vincent the female driver of the car was not at fault and did a great job at trying to avoid the little girl. The driver was headed north bound near 500 west 400 south. The child was headed west bound. Vincent said the driver must of have seen the child coming because she was able to swerve just enough so that the child ran into the passenger rear door rather than colliding head on. The child was transported to Brigham City Community Hospital with bruises and lacerations on her hands and face and is in stable condition. Brigham City police, ambulance and the fire department all responded.
Names and ages could not be released at this time but updates will be made as soon as possible
