With a budget nearing $8M, Bear River Mental Health is poised to deliver services to more than 7,000 clients during the 2013 year, over 2,300 of them youth and children. Those were the numbers director Reed Ernstrom gave during Wednesday night’s county commission meeting, as he presented the area plan for approval.
Bear River Mental Health is contracted with Box Elder County, as well as the neighboring counties of Rich and Cache, and works with all age groups in several different areas of service, Ernstrom said. Those include inpatient care, residential care, outpatient care, crisis care, psychotropic medication management, pyschoeducation services, case management, community support, peer support and consultation and education services. They provide outplacement support and work with incarcerated persons, as well.
