Bear River got hot at the right time and buried the Ogden Tigers after half and cruised to a much-needed 77-59 region win in Garland.
Wade Miller led all scorers with 27 points, but it was the play of unsung players who provided a boost for the Bears. Guard Austin Miller added 12 while Nick Hillis (8 points) and Jared Black (6 points) owned the paint in the second and fourth quarters .
Next up for the Bears is a region showdown Wednesday in Garland against Grantsville at 7 p.m. Friday the Bears travel to Morgan, always a tough place to play.
