Swimmers finish with win

The Bear River swim team held their final meet of the year hosting Grantsville and Rowland Hall on Thursday, Dec. 8. With the combined team scores of both the girls’ and boys’ teams, the Bears finished first with a score of 137 against Grantsville’s 83 and Rowland Hall St. Marks score of 78.

For the girls’ 200-meter medley relay, the team of Mckenna McCann, Tausha Morris, Missy Roundy and Jordan Comstock placed second with a time of 2:45. Ashton Roundy saw first place in the 200-meter freestyle with a time of 2:33 and Morris placed third with her time of 2:48. The 200-meter IM gave M. Roundy a second place finish at 3:07. Comstock placed third in the 50-meter freestyle at 39.10.

Two Bears placed in the 100-meter fly with Sariah Stanley-Gray in second at 1:36 and T. Morris in third at 1:37. Meagan Ballard took the first place finish in the 100-meter freestyle with a time of 1:08 and Camille Ballard placed first in the 400-meter freestyle with a time of 5:40 and also took first in the 100-meter breaststroke at 1:32.
