BC police investigate stabbing
A 24-year-old male is recovering from a stab wound in his back and his 34-year-old girlfriend could face charges following an early morning altercation between the two in Brigham City.
Brigham City Police Lt. Mike Nelson said a report of a stabbing came in to Dispatch about 5:30 a.m. Sunday, Nov. 27, to a residence police had responded to late the night before.
When officers arrived, they found an intoxicated man with a small knife wound near his right shoulder blade. He told officers his girlfriend had become angry because someone else was in the house with the man, and when he turn his back on her, she attacked him.
Officers also found the tires on the victim’s car had been slashed, allegedly by the same suspect.
The female, also highly intoxicated, was later picked up near her home on the other of Brigham City, but no weapon has yet been found.
Nelson said his department is shifting through the evidence before the information is turned over to the city’s attorney to determine the number of charges to be filed against the woman.
