The Bear River Migratory Bird Refuge and the Friends of the Bear River Refuge invites the public to join them to celebrate the grand re-opening of the Refuge road and Auto Tour Route.

Saturday, Sept. 24, from 9 a.m. – 3 p.m. the Bear River Migratory Bird Refuge will be having indoor and outdoor family fun activities to celebrate all the great opportunities this newly paved and improved road will provide. Following an official ribbon cutting ceremony, there will be activities such as wildlife films, train rides, live bird presentations, children’s games and crafts, Jr. Ranger activities, refreshments, and much more. All activities start at 9 a.m., at the Education Center.

After the ribbon cutting ceremony there will be free, guided birding tours along the Refuge Auto Tour Route. These fun and educational tours will be offered at 10 a.m., and 1:45 p.m., but space is limited, so pre-registration is required by calling 435-734-6422.
