Bears Fall to Bees, Spike Returns to Brigham City

Bear River didn’t have the depth or the size to stay with the Box Elder Bees in the annual battle for the Golden Spike. In the end, the Bees pulled away with a 23-6 win over the Bears.

Only down 8-0 at half, the Bears were poised and ready to pull off the upset. But the Bees would have none of that, scoring two more rushing touchdowns before the Bears added their lone score, a 64 yard pass from Wade Miller to Hazen Wood.

With a 1-2 record, the Bears must regroup in time to open region at Stansbury next Friday.

Here is a photo gallery of some of the action in Brigham Friday night. Watch for a highlight video soon.
