On Saturday Orson and Jeannette Poulsen drove to Salt Lake City to attend combined birthday parties for two of Jeannette’s sons and one granddaughter. The Poulsens left early and met at daughter Micki’s home for breakfast. Orson had a water turn later that day so they came home fairly early.
Boyd Udy says he is just working around the ranch (It’s harder than he makes it sound!). He is waiting for the Box Elder County Fair. This year he is going to watch. He wants to see everything he can: the horses, the booths, the livestock auction, the exhibits and the livestock show. “There is so much to see,” he says.
Cleo and Gary Petit drove to Montana to fish. However, the fuel pump on their truck gave out and that took up a lot of time. They did return home with several nice fish to eat.
Winnie Richman drove to Brigham City Tuesday bright and early to pick up Marriah, Zacharie and Skyler Richman to go school shopping. The three energetic kids and one slow granny had fun. Everyone got something, including mother April, who went to help Granny. Several stores were visited before going to the Golden Corral for delicious foods tailored to meet all the individual taste buds of the family members. Piano lessons followed for Skyler and Marriah that afternoon.
Wednesday, Winnie, Carolyn Carter and Marriah drove to Clearfield for their art lessons. Marriah is working on two paintings simultaneously, one of flowers and one of landscape. Winnie and Carolyn made good progress on their works. During the time she was there Winnie called artist Lori Nicholas to see what colors would make a sorrel horse color. They had a fun conversation. “Thank you, Lori,” Winnie says.
Thursday, Clynn wasn’t feeling well so Winnie joined sister and brother-in-law Pam and Jack Apodaca at Denny’s for a birthday breakfast for Winnie. Winnie is looking forward to the end of the month to go to Denny’s for Jack’s birthday.
Friday, Fixed Automotive was Winnie’s destination. You will remember she sort of kinked the truck’s tailpipe chasing calves last week. So Travis Hansen fixed everything. He replaced the tailpipe, the heat defuser and the muffler. “Ouch,” says the check book!
On Saturday Winnie picked up Reagen and Brantzen Richman to go school clothes shopping in Logan. The threesome started with breakfast at McDonald’s, then the clothes and then on to Golden Corral for lunch. There is the most interesting chocolate waterfall at the dessert bar …
Sunday was early choir practice for the performance during sacrament meeting, library duties and home for a nap, dinner, chores and the Joseph Smith Papers on TV.
