A feed truck at Sorensen’s Farm Feedlot in Howell started on fire on Wednesday, Aug. 17, at about 1:08 a.m. According to Thatcher Fire Chief Alan Heiner the cause of the fire was either electrical or from straw sitting on the exhaust. The feed truck was completely destroyed and the estimated cost of damage is about $50,000. Howell and Thatcher Fire Departments, along with the fire marshal all responded and had the fire contained at about 4:15 a.m.
