Registration info offered
The new 2011-2012 school year will begin Monday, Aug. 29. Registration for some area schools are scheduled to get underway next week. Please note those registration dates and times below:
The sophomore orientation and registration will be held Wednesday, Aug. 17, beginning at 1 p.m. Sophomores will be awarded a citizenship credit for attending and for completing the registration process. Parents are also asked to attend.
There will be a short orientation meeting in the auditorium at 1 p.m. Afterward students and parents will be released to go to the office and commons areas, where fees can be paid, yearbooks purchased and completed forms turned in. However, it is recommended that fee payments and completed forms be mailed in, dropped off, or paid online to shorten the process.
Students will receive their schedules, ID cards and locker assignments. School lunch payments can be made in the lunchroom.
New students are also invited to attend. Please call the office at 435-257-2500 to enroll.
Middle School Registration
Bear River Middle School registration and orientation will be Tuesday, Aug. 16, with the 8th grade at 5-7 p.m., and 9th grade from 7-9 p.m., at the school. Registration can be done by mail, with on-line payment or stand in lines at the orientation. Schedules and locker combinations will be available during orientation.
Harris Intermediate School will hold fall registration for 6th and 7th grade students on Monday, Aug. 15, 8 a.m.-noon, and Tuesday, Aug. 16, 8 a.m.-5 p.m. All fee waiver applications will be handled on those days.
Student information cards and health history forms must be completed and turned in. Seventh graders must pay fees before the class schedule can be picked up. If fees are not paid (7th grade only) and the schedule received, the student is not registered.
Those who have already completed registration by mail need not attend, but are invited to participate with the rest of the students and their parents in Back to School Night on Tuesday, Aug. 23, 4:30-6 p.m.
Student packets with finalized schedules, including locker assignment and combination, can be picked up beginning at 4 p.m. Registration must be completed and fees for 7th graders must be paid before a packet will be given out. A short general meeting will begin at 4:30 in the gym. Locker information will be handed out the first day of school for those not attending Back to School Night.
