Only one more day of school for this year for students. No lunches will be served at school on Thursday.
Graduating from Box Elder High School on June 2 at the Dee Glen Smith Spectrum at Utah State University include: Courtney Hansen, Paul Hendrickson, Drey Lyons, Morgan Nelson, Sydney Sorenson and Seth Stacey.
Graduating from Bear River High School are: Michael Holmgren, Zachary Smith, Logan Porritt, Mary Jensen and Brittney Julander.
The Tom and Teriann Hanks family attended the graveside services on May 19 at the Tremonton Riverview Cemetery for the infant son of Travis and Angie Johnsen. Travis and Teriann are siblings.
Audrey Mason has spent a busy month directing the play, “Meet Me In St. Louis,” at the Old Barn Theatre in Collinston.
Susie Rich hosted a bridal shower for her niece, Leslie Weidman and is helping with the wedding festivities. Leslie, who is the daughter of Clark and Nancy Weidman of Elwood, will exchange marriage vows on June 2 in the Logan LDS Temple.
Kendall and Marilyn Julander along with their children Shanna and Jason Anderson and Josh and Kristen Julander, returned from a eight-day vacation to Hawaii. They enjoyed the island of Oahu and Kauai. On the island of Oahu they visited the LDS temple and the Polynesian Center. They loved the ocean and Jason especially enjoyed going down in the shark tank.
Kim and Susan Checketts enjoyed going to Louisiana. Although it was a business trip for Kim, Susan is learning to be a good sightseer and shopper.
The Checkett’s kids, Jacob, Matthew, Lynette, Aaron and Derek, ran in the 5-mile Relay Marathon in Ogden this week.They are working on getting Becky to be part of their team.
Neil and Merrilyn Nelson are learning what a small world it really is, while serving in the Palmyra Temple. The Nelsons were working in the Baptistery when the Marc Fonnesbeck family walked in to do baptisms. The Fonnesbecks did 75 baptisms for relatives of Doug and Themla. Marc is Doug and Thelma Fonnesbeck’s son and grew up in BRC.
A reminder to remove your containers from the cemetery by next Monday so the grounds can be mowed.
