Owen hits 2 home runs for region win

Shaunie Owen’s hot bat earned her two home runs and four runs for the Bear River girl’s softball team as they took on Morgan Wednesday afternoon in Garland.
Bear River totaled 13 hits and 13 runs for a 13-3 win over the Trojans. Morgan Summers went 4-for-4 with a double. Junior Kassi Fronk hit two doubles bringing in three runs and pitcher Jordan Theurer went 2-for-4.
Offensively the Bears gave up two runs on errors with a total of 3 errors throughout the game. Morgan scored three runs and had three hits.
Bobi Webb pitched the first four innings before coach Calvin Bingham brought in Theurer to finish up the game in a five inning game that was called after Bear River was up 10 runs.

Yesterday the Bears beat Box Elder 1-0 in Brigham City.
