12 slices of bread
3 cups milk
6 large eggs
12 oz medium cheddar cheese (pepper jack adds a spicy flavor)
1 lb sausage
1 1/2 cans cream soup (ex: cream of chicken)
Use cookie cutter (most use round) on bread, crumb remaining edges of bread in bottom of buttered cake pan. Top with cooked sausage and cheese. Place bread rings on top of cheese. Mix milk, egg and salt and pour over top. Cover and refrigerate overnight.
Next morning preheat oven to 300 degrees. Heat 3/4 milk and soup and pour over top. Bake for 1 1/2 hours. Place larger cookie sheet underneath to prevent big mess!
